A SINGING CONTEST

Tina was very excited when she heard that she had won the prize. It was a singing contest at school called “Your Song”. The song she chose to sing was “The Day You Went Away”. She worked
extremely hard for a month rehearsing with her teacher. Her teacher told her that her chances of winning were extremely high because of a combination of great vocals and a wonderful performance.

      The next day was the big day. It was the day when the contestants would perform. Tina needed to relax herself because she was feeling somewhat nervous. She decided to go fishing with her brother. After about thirty minutes fishing the dark clouds started to roll in. Suddenly, it started to rain. They didn’t have any raincoats. They returned home but were soaking wet.       
    When Tina woke up the next morning she was very sad. To her dismay she

had caught a bad cold and had a fever. As the contest drew nearer her family
and friends didn’t think that she could sing or perform well. Tina, being strong and very determined, decided she would try her best.

She sang her heart out but after wards fell to the floor. She was unconscious.
Her mother rushed her to the hospital. When Tina finally regained consciousness the examiner was there to tell her that she had won third prize. Tina was happy.
